Distance ended up, in the end, being too much for me to cope with.

good stuff

wispfox: (happy)
-random conversations with a co-worker about interesting zoos in China with lots of tigers and pandas (made all the better by the sheer _glee_ involved in talking about it)
-People wanting to help me to do research, both just to help me out, and because they are themselves curious (even if some of them were unable due to requirements)
-Pretty music, from various sources, including suggestions by people I'm close to and things played by sweeties
-seeing people who are usually too far away, even if as is always true the visit is too brief.
-bursting out laughing multiple times during said visit
-local sweetie returned to the area
-thoroughly not-local sweetie to be here again in about a month
-hugs
-kisses
-best roommate in the world still is both the best and my roommate.
-funny/good/interesting conversations with all sorts of people
-kitty remembers that it's the time of year that I sit in front of the light for breakfast time, and comes running from wherever he is in the house when he hears the light click on
-I'm driving myself to work three days a week, taking a class, working full-time (which is being especially crazy right now). And my wrists _are still handling things_.
-is loved.
-loves.
-silly camera videos of dogs wrestling. One of which was partly under a sheet. Sheet puppy! Really, _really_ happy puppy tails!
-"hers [camera] is bigger than yours!"

Just happy.

And it's certainly not the weather! :) Even if the trees do remain pretty.

Ok, back to working again.

Mostly not sick! Yay!

Class being somewhat less confusing! Yay!

Sunny out, drove to work, did some strength work. Yay! (although I feel like either I remember what I was doing wrong, or I lost strength while sick)

Package to finish prepping to send to my neice! Yay!

[livejournal.com profile] jasra yesterday! Yay!

Silly gaming to get creeeeeepy Dr Who out of my head! Yay!

This post _really_ wanted to be a complainy post. But I refuse!

Instead!

I had gaming again Friday night which was great fun. And eventually I will adjust to playing in a D&D mindset *with* people (most of my D&D-ish experience has been computer games). :)

And there was much time with [livejournal.com profile] metahacker and [livejournal.com profile] galaneia, with a brief sighting of [livejournal.com profile] hfcougar. And I now have Demolition Man and Hot Fuzz trying to combine themselves into a single thing in my head, which made for _really_ odd dreams last night.

Saw [livejournal.com profile] devoken for the first time in a while, which was also good.

Grocery shopping and snuggling with [livejournal.com profile] jasra was good, as was my call with [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe who I did in fact nearly fall asleep on the phone with a couple of times.

I am now a prime number again. This is a pleasing thing.

Many brief conversations with family due to the aforementioned becoming a prime again, which was nice. Even if one of them had the poor timing to call 5 minutes before my call with [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe. :)

Many people volunteered to help me with my homework, and there were enough woman that I did not have to start emailing every woman I know. :)

Lots of cuddling, very good. And I shall see my 8-month-pregnant sister, her husband, and her daughter this weekend, to which I shall be _driving_, not commuter-railing.

Tomorrow I hope to sleep until a reasonable time in the morning after going to bed at a reasonable time, to have a reasonably productive day at work, to be reasonably pain-free, and to have a good evening with [livejournal.com profile] metahacker. ('reasonable' is apparently my word for the day)

I think I am trying to ignore that [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe leaves tonight.

I keep finding myself focusing rather absurdly on figuring out which schools I want to apply for. In a year. Mostly because I want to know what I need to do between now and then, but still!

And I can totally take the next class in the sequence that I just finished a class in. Totally cool, and totally unexpectedly early. Actual psychology research experience. Online. Not really sure how this will work. :)

But yeah. I drive [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe to the airport at 5.

Sad.

For some inexplicable reason, [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe did not think that I would have screwdrivers or various screws available.

I suspect this has much to do with the fact that screwing in screws is _very_ wrist intensive, and my wrists are _maybe_ ok with that again now. But still.

Actually, between the two of us, [livejournal.com profile] jasra and I both have a set of screwdrivers, plus my power one. And at least two hammers. (and [livejournal.com profile] jasra has a bunch of other things that I cannot recall offhand)

(ok, apparently he was surprised that I had various shapes/sizes of loose screws. Not that I have screwdrivers. I'm somewhat less offended now. ;)

[edit: ok, no, I didn't actually notice the... interesting meanings of this subject line. :P]

-hands that can handle driving to work & back, & petting people & kitties, & class, & silly games
-knowing who [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe _is_, again.
-silly/sweet/cute movies like Juno
-showers
-air conditioning so my attic apartment doesn't prevent sleeping (and anything involving touching other people) all summer.
-[livejournal.com profile] metahacker
-psinging, for people I love, for singing with others
-my arms being noticeably stronger to external comparisons

but now, sleep. hopefully.

[livejournal.com profile] devoken & I are breaking [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe's brain.

Why yes, I was catholic. And went to Catholic junior high school for three years...

*whistles innocently*

Doot, doot, do...

And, because I refuse to leave my journal in such a down state, especially when I've actually been having much goodness:

Saturday was _gorgeous_ out, as was most of last week. And I got a massage from someone who seems to be clueful about tendinitis. Pulled some dandilions out of part of our yard (may not be my yard due to renting, but I _could_). Went to Psinging Friday night, under my own power, and had no twinges from driving in either direction.

Wandered over to our local YMCA (aout a 30 minute walk each way), and determined that once I have a swim cap, I will get a membership, swim regularly (hopefully getting into a habit before next winter), possibly use the weight room (perhaps with accompanying sweetie so we both go regularly), and possibly take pilates classes.

Good call with [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe Sat night, good snuggles and brunch w/[livejournal.com profile] jasra who I do not see enough of. Good date time with [livejournal.com profile] metahacker, including random Wii use. (it really is oddly entertaining to make random suggestions)

Purriest cat in the world is happy I'm WFH this week, and next week I see the new office location.

Strength work last night plus some massage on [livejournal.com profile] metahacker (it has been _way_ too long since I could do massage for even that long!) plus aforementioned dandilion pulling did not result in unhappy hands, and I'm going to up my weights again next time.

Was able to do random helpful thing for former neighbor, just because I could and he asked.

Can deal with dishes pretty regularly, most of the garbage & recycling most of the time, and sweeping. Can probably do litterbox cleaning more often; will check. Probably cannot vaccuum or rake yet.

Should be fine for taking a summer class online starting end of May. This is Good.

Gaming was fun, if draining, and I found my old character from the last one-shot I did. She was a fun character, and way less draining. :)

Did some tidying of my stuff, and again with the not making my hands sad. Have I mentioned how nice it is to begin to approximate a normal human being again? Still lack driving myself to work regularly, but...

Saw/hugged/chatted with [livejournal.com profile] randysmith, who I do not see enough of!

Slowly managing to force myself to a more sane sleep schedule, which is nice. Being less tired is delightful, as is wasting less of the day.

So. Much goodness. :)
