Sophie-cat said pick me up pick me up pick me up with both action and voice until i noticed. Then i held and pet her until my arm got tired.

I lay back on a couch cushion, at which point she tried to find my (then nonexistent) lap. With some encouragement, she instead ended up lying on my chest. This is a thing i love it when cats do, so i was very happy that this happened and she was willing to get comfortable there.

Sadly, then i needed sleep as her purrs and warm little body made me sleepy. Now, pills and bed, and much overflowing kitty happy. :)

Kitty on my chest, yay. :)

Because it makes me happy every time I see it...

It's sunny out!

It was gorgeous out on Sunday when [livejournal.com profile] metahacker and I went for foods and walking and camera shopping in Harvard Sq.

I'm employed, with no concern about my company laying people off.

I have money saved up for returning to school.

[livejournal.com profile] jasra has a wonderful job!

[livejournal.com profile] metahacker and [livejournal.com profile] galaneia going on vacation.

I have the best rainbow-colored shoelaces _ever_.

Purry kitty who knows how to use his cat door, and comes to sit with me when I use the light box.

Kisses and cuddles and chatting with [livejournal.com profile] metahacker before sleep. (this living together thing is a goodness)

Today, I overflow with love.

Means there's a goofy half smile on my face for no obvious reason, and may make co-workers nervous. But it also means that I'm in a good mood.

I approve. I do!

And for those of you who don't read [livejournal.com profile] metahacker (why don't you? I reference him often enough!), go read this post. Because I said so. And because it's pretty. No, really!

And, in conclusion, I shall sound an awful lot like [livejournal.com profile] starandrea! ♥ to you all. Lots of ♥!

(this post brought to you by anti-migraine meds taken early enough in the day, light box use, and just general happy)

And now, I go pester a co-worker a lot.

There were many days in the White Mountains with [livejournal.com profile] metahacker.

There were stars, many many stars. And we never even went anywhere specific to go look at them.

There was walking in woods and mountains and rivers and mushrooms of various and unexpected colors and shapes. There were rocks for crossing wet places, for sitting on, for petting, for having pet rocks, and for being pets of rocks.

There was cuddling. A whole lot of cuddling. Also, cuddling.

There were conversations about bears and moose, but no actual sightings by the two of us of either one.

There was a gradual increase in ability to deal with walking in places with uphillness.

There was a cold with a fever that came and went.

There was conversation, chatting, silliness, and connecting.

There was a room that could have been better in various ways, but which was still a good room for being a room in which there was much time spent with [livejournal.com profile] metahacker.

There was a hot tub that I never got around to using. There were various very friendly owners and workers at the Bed & Breakfast we stayed at. There are wee pretty paintings, and postcards that failed to be sent while we were actually there.

There was grumpy, there was tired, but there was also a deep low level joy at being in mountains with trees and green and quiet.

There was remembering that mountains and hills are a rightness for me, in ways that flatness is not. And also remembering that places that tend to have them also tend to not have much to do in the evening.

There was much passing of various towns I've lived in or near, remembering when Concord, NH was a big city to me (Boston used to terrify me; Manhattan still does, although less so), seeing various towns that I think my high school used to have sports games at.

There were times when there was too much moving and I needed to just sit for a while and talk to the mountains and trees and grass. There were many more times when I just knew where I was, and was glad.

There was a fire, marshmallows, and small, hyper children. There was very little reading, and no internet access (or indeed, a computer, for me).

There was beauty. There was simplicity. There was quiet. There was time away with [livejournal.com profile] metahacker. And it was indeed good. I really needed that, for the time away, for the nature, for the time with [livejournal.com profile] metahacker.

There are pictures, which I may get around to posting some of.

And, because I refuse to leave my journal in such a down state, especially when I've actually been having much goodness:

Saturday was _gorgeous_ out, as was most of last week. And I got a massage from someone who seems to be clueful about tendinitis. Pulled some dandilions out of part of our yard (may not be my yard due to renting, but I _could_). Went to Psinging Friday night, under my own power, and had no twinges from driving in either direction.

Wandered over to our local YMCA (aout a 30 minute walk each way), and determined that once I have a swim cap, I will get a membership, swim regularly (hopefully getting into a habit before next winter), possibly use the weight room (perhaps with accompanying sweetie so we both go regularly), and possibly take pilates classes.

Good call with [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe Sat night, good snuggles and brunch w/[livejournal.com profile] jasra who I do not see enough of. Good date time with [livejournal.com profile] metahacker, including random Wii use. (it really is oddly entertaining to make random suggestions)

Purriest cat in the world is happy I'm WFH this week, and next week I see the new office location.

Strength work last night plus some massage on [livejournal.com profile] metahacker (it has been _way_ too long since I could do massage for even that long!) plus aforementioned dandilion pulling did not result in unhappy hands, and I'm going to up my weights again next time.

Was able to do random helpful thing for former neighbor, just because I could and he asked.

Can deal with dishes pretty regularly, most of the garbage & recycling most of the time, and sweeping. Can probably do litterbox cleaning more often; will check. Probably cannot vaccuum or rake yet.

Should be fine for taking a summer class online starting end of May. This is Good.

Gaming was fun, if draining, and I found my old character from the last one-shot I did. She was a fun character, and way less draining. :)

Did some tidying of my stuff, and again with the not making my hands sad. Have I mentioned how nice it is to begin to approximate a normal human being again? Still lack driving myself to work regularly, but...

Saw/hugged/chatted with [livejournal.com profile] randysmith, who I do not see enough of!

Slowly managing to force myself to a more sane sleep schedule, which is nice. Being less tired is delightful, as is wasting less of the day.

So. Much goodness. :)
