... seeing [livejournal.com profile] ayalanya during her visit to the area, even if she was utterly exhausted. But still cuddleable!

... Peter Mayer in concert.

... many, many, many hugs. Many lovely people. A brief appearance at a party. Dinner. A concert.

... playing silly games with a sweetie who was actually the one at the controls.

"Try aiming the hawk at the bees nest!" *pause* "Wait, that worked?! Huh!"

"Hey, there's something moving over there!" *pause while waiting for the hawk to arrive again* *aiming the hawk at the moving thing* "Hey, the hawk got something!"

"I don't know how to fish." *startled pause* "You don't? Huh!" *explaining how to fish, generally and in the context of the game's mechanics*

These were very small fish. Perch-sized, if I'm not mis-remembering both the name and the size (fished a fair amount as a kid).

... being awake and bouncy, even though I got not enough sleep (for good reason!) Friday night.

... dancing in my seat, because I like the music Just That Much. Knowing much of it well helps, too, even if I entirely failed to not sing (quietly) along with the ones I knew.

... sunlight outside today. And some of Saturday. And some of Sunday.

... random group hugs. And dragging other people into them.

... wandering around outside on a call with a sweetie.

... being able to go outside randomly without it being too damn cold every time.

... hugging and being pet by people I've not seen in too long. I really do need to go to the next Psinging.

... randomly chatty emails.

... having my hair played with.

... playing with people's hair.

... entertaining people with a fiberoptic glowy hair thing.

... being awakened by a sweetie. And then by being cuddled by a cuddly sweetie and sweetie's sweetie. Even if I was horribly tired and not wanting to get up. :)

... randamly being physically-affectionate with people I love. And that to me in turn.

... [livejournal.com profile] starandrea twice in two weekends!

... borrowing a sweetie's jacket who is 8 inches taller makes me laugh, because the sleeve length is truly absurd.

... clothing that smells of a sweetie.

... a truly excellent weekend, insufficient sleep and all.

I can, indeed, switch my brain into a state where I can be intensely social for long periods of time. But it requires me to not need to keep track of time, makes me _very_ flighty (counteracted by being cuddled), not great at self care, and makes non-highly-social activities not things I want to be doing (so I made it to no panels at all, and played very few games). It also requires that I have people I am utterly comfortable with clinging to/cuddling with reasonably easily available. It also makes me _way_ less good at being aware that I am not seeing as much of people as I might like, if I'm seeing them at all and I _am_ getting time with comfortably cuddly people. It also means that I start getting less able to handle touch from those I'm not as comfortable with. And starts meaning my impulse control goes away (although that may have been insufficient sleep).

I have done this before (when I met [livejournal.com profile] the_xtina and [livejournal.com profile] cos, and went to the housewarming where I knew no one), but it's been a long time, and I didn't really understand then how to make it last without huge cost. Now I have more data. :)

Very good party. I am well pleased. And amused at how often "it's not that kind of party" was stated. Apparently, at least based on the frequency of reminders of it not being, it _should_ have at least involved cloven oranges. Go figure. (the idea _was_ suggested beforehand, mind, but not before I'd made the guest list. I'm not completely sure that everyone there would have been ok with that, and would have wanted it explicitly stated in the invite as a possibility) (and I would have overstimmed even more quickly!)

Very _very_ tired. I suspect that lots of partyness - while very good - both contributed to me getting overstimmed (so pretty tired until I got some quiet cuddling time), and to having lots to want to talk about once I stopped being overstimed. This combines poorly with me actually sleeping well.

I was very easily distracted. And apparently surprisingly easy to make blush. And, um, having three of the four people I'm dating be at the party was also very distracting (and possibly part of why it might have accidentally turned _into_ that kind of party, had I not explicitly said beforehand that it was not intended to be). (what _is_ it with me having people I date not living nearby, for the most part? :)

[livejournal.com profile] ayalanya and I, at dinner:

A: "That bus was alternating between saying the route number and socks!"

Me, envisioning route number alternating with graphical representation of socks: "What?"

A: "Socks! S-O-X."

Me: "Oh! Sox! Right."

A: "There must be a game."

Me, envisioning games involving socks and busses: "..."

Me, realizing that A meant a Red Sox game: "Oh! I was trying to figure out what games would involve busses and socks!"

There then followed attempts at describing games which would involve both busses and socks. Either really small busses or really _huge_ socks. Among other things, which I cannot remember. There were busses in toesocks, which therefore had toes, I think.

There was also much giggling, and lack of ability to breathe due to laughter. Also, there was a reverse direction clock, which I only realized the reversedness of when I looked at my own watch and realized they were mirror reflections. I want a reversed clock, now.

I am amused to note that my summaries of things tend to be really, really brief. Mostly because I'm terrible at listing things, and that _is_ a list.

However, when I read through other people's memories of things, I am frequently pleased and amused to be reminded of things that happened. So it's really nifty to have everyone else's summaries of things to read.

As a partial result of other people's summaries, I make note of things which pleased me about my few hours at [livejournal.com profile] sunspiral and [livejournal.com profile] roozle's party on Saturday:

-Seeing [livejournal.com profile] regyt two weekends in a row, and getting to see her be sweet with other people in both instances.
-Seeing and smooching [livejournal.com profile] ladytabitha, and seeing her be all cute, sweet, and often smoochy with other people.
-Human hair, is, in fact, knittable.
-Apparently a vacuum cleaner can be exchanged for a [livejournal.com profile] ratatosk. Who knew?
-Brief interactions with [livejournal.com profile] pixie_ysral, involving french braiding of her hair.
-Brief smooches and hugs and hangings out with [livejournal.com profile] ayalanya.
-Playing with the same lovely, long hair which was used in the testing of the knittability of hair.
-Snuggling with various people, including [livejournal.com profile] ladytabitha, [livejournal.com profile] regyt, [livejournal.com profile] ratatosk, and [livejournal.com profile] pixie_ysral. Others, too. But those were briefer interactions, and I'm getting name-lazy.
-Watching [livejournal.com profile] regyt playing with poi and other swirly colorful things whose name I do not know
-Meeting the niftiness that is [livejournal.com profile] minerva42, via her great amusement at the hair knitting, and because she had a camera.
-Food. Seriously. Not having had to feed myself while moving was _gooood_.
-I think it was less crowded than I'd expected, perhaps due to the weather, or the timing of my visit.

-Incidentally, [livejournal.com profile] regyt is this a +1, or a +4? (ie, is it per post, or per mention? ;)

Sadly, it was too cold and cloudy for pool use by me. And, I missed fire-spinny goodness, due to needing to continue moving stuff and to needing sleep.

Overall? Very glad I went. And yay for all you people reminding me of stuff, which reminds me of other stuff that happened! :)

You know I really want a place when I keep referring to it as mine, even though it isn't actually mine yet.

My obsessive nature is _really_ coming out lately, because all of my energy is going toward packing and moving and trying to list what I need to do as part of moving. I might just be as packed as is possible to be before moving day, before [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe is even here. Which, considering how much of the next few weeks is already filled with doing stuff with people, would be amazing. Then again, I _did_ spend most of Saturday - even though I'd had 5 hours of sleep and [livejournal.com profile] ladytabitha and [livejournal.com profile] ayalanya were both around - packing.

I hope my cat's records can easily be sent to a different vet when I move. I also hope that my current animal hospital has recommendations for places. For that matter, I hope my own various medical professionals have suggestions (except the OB/GYN who's giving me my Mirena on Friday morning, since they're close to work).

edit: as I was especially unclear in this post, I note that I mentioned [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe relating to timing of packing because I originally didn't expect to _start_ packing (much) until he'd gone home again, as I'd not expected to have a place to move to until July 1st (or even to start looking before mid-May). With the place I'm looking at right now, I'm likely to be moving throughout June, and finished by July.

Good weekend. Very much with the good.

Psinging of shininess (as previously stated). Brought [livejournal.com profile] ladytabitha and [livejournal.com profile] ayalanya there with me. [livejournal.com profile] entrochan went there for the first time, and seemed to enjoy herself. Was randomly scritched by multiple people on my way in, which was neat and had the usual effect of causing me to stop whatever I was doing and purr (internally - I don't actually purr vocally very often, as it requires thought, and I tend to lose thought when in states where I would want to purr). Scritched [livejournal.com profile] ayalanya and [livejournal.com profile] ratatosk for a bit, which was nifty and snuggly. Many other nifty people as well, of course, but I interacted less directly with them.

Brought [livejournal.com profile] ladytabitha and [livejournal.com profile] ayalanya home with me ([livejournal.com profile] ladytabitha drove, which was good because I was tired and we'd have left earlier otherwise), and sleeping happened.

Very lazy morning, then [livejournal.com profile] ayalanya did much cooking of tasiness and impressiveness. [livejournal.com profile] starandrea arrived in mid-afternoon, and food was consumed. Dress-up happened. I note that I sometimes forget how much fun clothing I _have_. I should really wear it more often! Much cuddly goodness with [livejournal.com profile] starandrea. I purr. :) Wandered to Friendly's (across the street) for ice cream purposes. The waitress pegged us all very well, and brought us water with bendy straws! Hee. :) Very silly, we all are. (as if anyone is surprised)

Abortive attempt at watching "Monty Python's Holy Grail" due to everyone being tired. As [livejournal.com profile] starandrea had to leave early the next morning, goodbyes were said to her before sleep.

Vaguely anti-social morning the next morning, at least on my part. [livejournal.com profile] penghuin stopped by to bring [livejournal.com profile] ladytabitha home. There was much entertaining/distracting interaction before leaving actually happened, which made for a very interesting beginning of phone conversation with [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe. I am pleased to note that I no longer am vaguely baffled by [livejournal.com profile] penghuin, as I appear to have finally managed to get a sense of him. Yay!

[livejournal.com profile] ayalanya and I went to work group, and work group was good, although _tiring_. I was already tired before I got there, so that was interesting. I think I ate about three times more than I normally do, afterwards. And there was much scritching and brief snuggly interaction, and it was good.

_lots_ of snuggling and scritching and touch of goodness, and people frequently enough initiated it, as well! I am pleased and purry. *quiet glee*

Still tired, for some strange reason. I slept for ~11 hours Sat night! On the plus side, having done so appears to have managed to kick the annoying sinus thing I had. Apparently it was a cold, and that's why I was so damn tired all weekend and late last week, and had the dizzy that I sometimes get with sinus stuff (made for an interesing Psinging, since I kept randomly getting dizzy while sitting there!).

*pleased*

edit: sheesh. I think I used more LJ names in this post than I normally do in multiple months! Odd. :)

Iron pills have such nasty burps. But, apparently, I was low enough on a type of iron that that could be part of my restless leg syndrome. So I need to take iron three times a day for three months, to see if it helps.

Icky, though!

Psinging tonight. And I bring [livejournal.com profile] ladytabitha and [livejournal.com profile] ayalanya with me. _AND_ I see [livejournal.com profile] starandrea tomorrow!

Very tired today. Annoying. Went to bed due to major exhaustion at 9:30; you'd think think I'd have had enough sleep. Apparently not! But then, being awake for no apparent reason at 6am is really starting to annoy me. Because it's too damn early to get out of bed (although perhaps I should just do so, tired though it makes me), and not enough time to get really good sleep afterwards if I have work that day (although I do tend to doze afterwards).

Still not entirely convinced that all of my sleep trouble are because of restless leg. I _would_ have mutliple reasons. I have multiple reasons for everything _else_ that plagues me! ;)

I get _lots_ of stuff done when I'm trying to distract myself.

Also, sleepy.

Also, from [livejournal.com profile] nikkinewsnet, He prints images of maki on pieces of edible paper made of soybeans and cornstarch, using organic, food-based inks of his own concoction. He then flavors the back of the paper, which is ordinarily used to put images onto birthday cakes, with powdered soy and seaweed seasonings. Fascinated!

I feel like my brain is falling out my ears. But that would be messy, so I hope it's not!

I actually saw and talked to [livejournal.com profile] ayalanya last night. She's been gone a lot this week. My cat is confused.

There will be a visiting [livejournal.com profile] majes tonight! I hope I'm sufficiently awake that I'm at least vaguely decent company.

There will also be a [livejournal.com profile] randysmith visiting on Saturday. Yay!

Thingy. Also, meow! (my co-workers don't meow back! It's sad)
