Today's weather has me rather disturbingly cheerful.

I don't have any idea what to do with this. Well, y'know, other than enjoy it.

But _damn_, I hate having my moods so strongly affected by the weather!

(I apparently need to go find somewhere to live which is sunny nearly constantly.)

If you don't mind heat, I recommend Tucson. I loved it when I lived there.

For somewhat lower temperatures but still many, many sunny days year 'round, there's Denver and it's surrounding area. I suspect you're really like Boulder.

Love heat; don't at all like humidity.

Does that modify your suggestions at all?

(And yes, Arizona has been somewhere I've wanted to visit for a while)

It doesn't change them at all. Both are low humidity places. If you ever do decide to try Arizona, I'll warn you that Phoenix is significantly more humid than Tucson (though still low humidity by comparison to places like Miami and Houston). Also, because Phoenix is at a lower elevation, it can feel much hotter.

For an Arizona city that actually has four seasons *and* low humidity, there's Flagstaff. It can get pretty cold there, but you don't have the very short days that beset you in New England.

I recall that I found California actually sorta oppressive for its utter lack of anything remotely resembling weather. Specifically, this was the part of California near to and east of LA. It did rain from time to time, but it was usually pretty halfhearted about it.

So, if you're not the sort of person who craves weather...

Well, I also _love_ thunderstorms, but frequently sunny weather is more or less required for me to be in an actively good mood. And there aren't really many good storms here, anyway.

Frequent sun is less strongly needed in the winter, as the sun is more effective for me then, so exposures last longer.

Gah. I meant 'summer', not 'winter', with the last sentence in that previous comment.
