[moving, various, weekend]

My cat's reaction to arriving at the new place was highly entertaining. There was a nearly audible 'Oh!', as he realized what all the fuss and packing and stuff was about. He _really_ wanted me to let him down as soon as I walked in the front door, even though I hadn't yet gotten into the actual apartment yet. But, when I got in and let him down (pointing upstairs, since that's where my place is, and he's pretty good at knowing not to try to go places he's not allowed), there was lots and lots and lots of investigation. And then he was pretty much fine. Probably will take a bit to completely be comfortable, but certainly much happier than he had been in Andover with most of the stuff gone.
Still some stuff to pack and move from Andover to Woburn. And some cleaning. But most of the stuff is moved and unpacked (I was very obsessive yesterday afternoon and evening, after bringing Ash over).
My legs _hate_ me for the amount of stairs I walked, moving stuff from Andover (2nd floor) to Woburn (3rd floor), all weekend. Very shaky tired, they are. And my back, shoulders, arms, and wrists aren't much happier, although less with the shaky, and more with the achy.
Was weird trying to sleep in the new place. Need to remember to put something over the windows in the exit from my apartment, as the lights in the hallways are supposed to be left on for safety, and are bright, and are visible from my bedroom. Can't close the door or Ash can't get in, but closing it partway helps.
Glad I made it to Lefton's, even if it did take me a long time to relax enough to just chill (as my brain was totally in a 'moving moving moving!' state). Was good to be social, even if in a crowd. And even if it was cold!
Was actually cold last night and this morning; I'm so glad the heat was fixed so that it wasn't constantly on! Otherwise the moving of the larger stuff would have _SUCKED_.
Oh! My couch won't fit in the apartment's entrance. So if anyone wants a couch which is located on the curb in Woburn, it's available. I don't have anywhere to store it, so I'm not going to try to sell it. Just let me know you want it, and have a way to transport it, and I'll tell you where to find it.
The movers suggested that the largest that would fit would be a love seat. For the moment, I have my chairs. I really would prefer to have a couch-like thing, since chairs aren't precisely large enough for cuddling. I'm highly unlikely to be buying a love seat, though, since it makes _no_ sense to buy something that I will only be using for 2-3 years, and I really have better things to do with my money. Ah, well. Sad lack of couch!
Oh! I remind again that I have no internet from home until the 30th! From work, only, so during the day during the work week, only.
