wispfox(it amused me entirely too much to have had to switch the time from 01 to 10. My computer still thinks it's on the east coast, and I see no good reason to tell it otherwise. My Palm also is not changed, which means that I have to adjust the time in my head for everything I schedule. And I forgot my Palm charger! I hope it survives the week...)
Been here for about 48 hours at this point, and have completely lost track of the days (I don't normally _have_ this many days off in a row!). Was awake this morning at 6am local time. Was _really_ disconcerting to be wide awake when it was pitch black outside, even though I did not actually get out of bed until around 8:15. I saw no point, and it was comfy under the covers.
Been raining more or less the entire time I've been here. Stupid rain. Should make not having my light box interesting. Yay for SAM-e!

mactavish move, as I figured it'd be the easiest method of meeting her while I'm here. Yes, I'm strange and actually enjoyed moving people who I'd never met before. There were enough people for the moving needed! And they are nifty and entertaining! (look! I am randomly outgoing when on vacation, even in winter!)
And god_damn_ my legs are protesting right now. I don't walk enough at home, and getting around is mostly via walking (and BART) here. Adding in helping with moving, and my legs _hate_ me.
On the plus side, unlike yesterday, I did not manage to demonstrate my lack of coordination in any spectacular manner. (yesterday involved spraining my ankle, which I _usually_ manage to avoid doing, klutzy though I am. Wet sidewalk and unfamiliar surroundings meant I should have been paying more attention to walking than I was. Something I am now being more careful about! My ankle is mostly fine, as it tends to be - walking it out is generally enough, with some stiffness for a few days afterwards)
So punchy. Shall sleep soon!
It's wet out. And everything is green. And there are flowers on lots of trees! My brain is so confused. Also. Pastel houses are evil, and apparently are both a Florida thing _and_ a California thing. Along with Palm trees. Which always look really strange to me.
Tomorrow, and Weds, lunch with random people whose LJs I read. And I must visit the Exploratorium. MUST! But first I need to figure out where it is. :)
(As you all may have guessed, I am not regularly reading y'all's LJs. Why did I just decide to use both 'you all' _and_ "y'all"?)
I miss my kitty. The kitty here, while black and fuzzy, does not attempt to get under the covers with me. Nor does he demand pettins. Nor does he flop down next to me.

Yep. Punchy. Tired. It's actually 11:03pm local time, now, but I'm too amused by my initial parenthetical to change the time accordingly. I get offline and sleep now.
