Dances: Well, when I was there (my last summer was in '92), one of the other campuses ended with Stairway to Heaven. But yes, for us it was always American Pie.
And I always want to yell the appropriate responses for the last verse (screaming when the children screamed, saying 'awww' when the poets dreamed, 'ssssh' for not a word was spoken, 'clang!' for the bells were broken, etc) when I hear it now. I don't, though. Other than in my head. :)
